We are very proud of Allan's rodeo accomplishments. We
believe that Allan's accomplishments are a direct result of his God-given talent
of being a horseman. Allan will be the first to tell you that feel, timing
and balance are what make a great Bronc rider and a perfect Bronc ride. He
will tell you that the principles of feel is what he used on his broncs to calm
them in the chute, to help move and place their feet if they were leaning in the
chute, to saddle them quietly and to help them get safely out of the chute.
We believe that every horse trainer should understand what makes a horse buck,
mentally and then physically. The trainer should have the ability to work
this out with ground work before this happens, but if the horse still feels the
need to buck, the trainer must be able to ride through the buck without pulling
up on the horse, getting in the horses way, and creating a brace or problem
within that horse.

Allan credits his father, Harry McKenzie, for providing him
with the sound basis in horsemanship that has allowed Allan to build his
knowledge of horses throughout his life. Allan is now passing this
knowledge on to Reba & Kale,
both of whom are participating in the Alberta High School Rodeo Association!
